At Rocket Plates, we only supply road-legal number plates. Every plate we produce carries the required legal markings and essential information that allows authorities to identify the manufacturer. This ensures complete compliance and gives you confidence that your plates are 100% road-legal.

As a DVLA authorised number plate supplier (43997), Rocket Plates fully complies with DVLA regulations. For reassurance, you can confirm our postcode on the DVLA’s registered supplier database. This guarantees that every plate you purchase from us is completely road-legal, with correct fonts and spacing for your peace of mind.

As a DVLA-registered number plate supplier, we’re required by law to check your identity and confirm you’re legally entitled to the registration. We know this can feel like a bit of a hassle, but we’ve made the process as quick and easy as possible for you.

Checking your identity and the legal right to use the number plate ensures is vital and is there to protect you from having cloned number plates.

  • To confirm your identity we require one of the following:
    • A Driving License
    • A utility bill or a council tax statement dated within the last 6 months.
    • A Bank or building society statement dated within the last 6 months.
  • To confirm the entitlement to the registration you are obtaining new plates for, we require one of the following pieces of documentation:
    • A vehicle registration certificate (V5C, V5CNI)
    • The new keeper supplement (V5C/2, V5C/2NI)
    • Certificate of entitlement to the number (V750, V750NI)
    • A retention document (V778)
    • A renewal reminder for vehicle tax or SORN (V11 or V11NI)
    • A temporary registration certificate (V379 or V379NI)
    • A number plate authorisation certificate (V948) with an official stamp from the DVLA or from the DVSA
    • An electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948)

Orders placed and approved Monday to Friday before 1:30 pm are dispatched the same day. Any orders approved after 1:30 pm will be sent the next working day. Weekend orders are processed and dispatched on Monday.

Economy delivery usually arrives within three to five working days of dispatch. First-class delivery normally arrives the next working day, but please allow up to three working days.

Incorrect spacing on number plates can result in a fine of up to £1,000 and may even cause your vehicle to fail its MOT. As a DVLA-registered supplier, Rocket Plates ensures all plates meet legal standards, so you can be confident they’re fully road-legal. If an order is submitted with incorrect spacing, our system will automatically adjust it to comply with the required regulations.

Drill hole positions vary between different vehicle makes and models, so we dispatch all plates without pre-drilled holes.

You can choose from several fitting methods, such as strong adhesive sticky pads or a fitting kit, to securely attach your number plates.

You can attach your new number plates using adhesive pads for a quick, drill-free option, or with a fitting kit that includes everything needed for secure installation.

If you prefer to use screws, we recommend using your old plate as a template to easily mark the correct screw positions.

Rocket Plates supplies replacement plates for all vehicle types. You can order a number plate from us as long as you are the owner or have the owner’s permission. Before production, we’re required to verify ownership, which means providing proof of entitlement and valid ID.

Please note, we do not sell private registration numbers. However, once you’ve purchased a private plate and have the correct documents, simply provide us with the registration details, and we’ll be happy to produce the plates for you.

Many businesses need bulk orders of number plates, and we’re happy to help. If you’re planning a large order or regular purchases, get in touch with us and we’ll be glad to discuss your requirements.
Unfortunately, we’re only able to accept orders through our website at this time and cannot process orders over the phone.
Orders are often processed right away, which means cancellations or refunds may not always be possible once an order has been placed. If you need to make changes or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible—ideally within the first hour of ordering. If your plates have not yet gone into production, we’ll be able to issue a refund minus a small admin fee.
